Children’s Minister Jefferson Baptist Church Connect · Worship Serve

The Children’s Minister at Jefferson Baptist Church will lead a dynamic, Christ-centered ministry that helps children (Kindergarten through 5th grade) and their families grow in their relationship with Jesus. This role includes oversight of weekly programming, volunteer leadership, curriculum planning, and creating a safe, fun, and spiritually enriching environment for kids.

• Develop and implement a clear vision for Children’s Ministry that aligns with the church’s overall mission.
• Foster spiritual growth and biblical understanding in children through engaging, age-appropriate teaching and experiences.
• Recruit, train, and lead volunteers and ministry teams.

• Lead and oversee Sunday morning children’s programming.
• Plan and coordinate seasonal events (see below).
• Maintain safe, clean, and welcoming environments for children and families.

• Equip and encourage parents to be the primary spiritual leaders in their children’s lives.
• Communicate regularly with parents and families, providing resources and support.

• Choose and implement curriculum for all age groups within the ministry.
• Manage the Children’s Ministry budget.
• Ensure compliance with church safety and security policies, including volunteer background checks and Ministry Safe training.
