What’s your day like?As a Special Education Teacher at the Emerge School of Autism, you will work closely with students with moderate to extreme autism. Classroom size is no more than 8 students and the whole school serves only 48 students. Our small, intimate setting is a great introductory start σχ newly certified teachers.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for implementing individualized education plans, providing instruction and support, and monitoring student progress. You will collaborate with a team of professionals—including other teachers, therapists, and support staff—to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. As a new teacher, you can expect mentorship and guidance from experienced educators to help you succeed. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, following the school calendar.

Would you be a great Special Education Teacher?To be successful in this role you need strong classroom experience and an understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and lesson planning. You should be comfortable creating and modifying IEP goals and objectives and have experience working with children with exceptionalities or on the autism spectrum.
Our ideal candidate must understand the unique challenges and learning styles of our students. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. You will work closely with other educators, inaug therapists, and support staff, so effective communication and collaboration are necessary.
Required Skills- Classroom Experience
- Knowledge of IEP and Lesson Planning
- Experience with kids who have exceptionalities or are on the autism spectrum
- Strong interpersonal skills working with an interdisciplinary team
Must pass state and federal background checks. Must pass a drug test.
