Impact Prosperity Partners in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a passionate and driven Assistant Director of Educational Opportunity Center/Advisor to help transform lives through access to higher education. Responsibilities:- Assist in the leadership and daily operations of the Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) program
- Provide individualized academic advising, college planning, and career counseling to program participants
- Support recruitment, outreach, and retention efforts targeting first-generation and low-income adult learners
- Assist participants with college admissions applications, financial aid (FAFSA), and scholarship searches
- Develop and facilitate workshops on college readiness, financial literacy, and career development
- Maintain accurate participant records and assist with federal grant reporting and compliance
- Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, educational institutions, and local agencies
- Bachelor's degree required;
Master's degree in Education, Counseling, or related field preferred - Experience in academic advising, college access programs, or student services (TRIO experience a plus)
- Knowledge of federal financial aid processes, FAFSA, and post-secondary admissions
- Strong understanding of challenges faced by first-generation, low-income, and adult learners
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage caseloads, meet deadlines, and maintain detailed documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student data management systems
