. This position is open throughout the United States with preference for candidates near a Jacobs office.

Responsibilities- Design and optimize control systems for a variety of processes, documenting and modeling design information.
- Develop P&IDs, size valves, and specify instrumentation while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
- Coordinate work activities with other team members and the discipline lead, providing on‑site assistance during startup.
- Actively participate in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, producing control system designs and exploring options for process control, instrumentation, and automation.
- Maintain schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks, aligning with client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Control Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience working with instrumentation and control systems.
- Working knowledge of DDC, PLC, DCS, and other control applications.
- Experience with Data Centers.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas.
- Displayed ability to learn quickly and drive knowledge expansion.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Passion for buildings and construction.
