We are seeking a Senior Telecommunications Engineer who will spearhead the design of low‑voltage systems—including structured cabling, wireless, audio‑visual and other data‑center infrastructure—across our U.S. portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Lead design and implementation of telecommunications structured cabling systems in data‑center buildings.
- Conduct preliminary assessments, concept creation, internal and external problem resolution, and produce detailed drawings and specifications.
- Serve as the End‑of‑Record (EoR) for designs and sign and seal telecommunications design packages.
- Provide coverage and mentorship for project leads and internal/external stakeholders, creating a cohesive project schedule and budget.
- Depending on bandwidth, lead projects and work with managers to drive process improvements.
- Perform site visits, review technical documents, and maintain quality assurance of designs from other teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Communication Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution.
- Minimum 8 years of experience designing or leading telecommunications structured cabling systems.
- In‑depth knowledge of ANSI/TIA, BICSI and NFPA 70 standards as they apply to telecommunications.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, project management and RFP response.
- Self‑motivation to coordinate with multiple disciplines, project managers, clients and vendors.
- Excellent project management and risk mitigation skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (multiple licenses preferred).
- 4+ years of telecommunications design experience in data‑center environments.
- Experience on low‑voltage systems such as security, audio/visual and wireless.
- Working knowledge of Revit, Navisworks and RCDD credential.
- Experience writing CSI or AIA specifications, startup and commissioning of telecom systems.
