Position: Relay Settings Electrical Engineer
Duration: Full-time
Description:
The client is a leading provider of electrical engineering solutions, specializing in power system protection and relay settings. They are looking for a full-time Relay Settings Electrical Engineer to join their team in Baton Rouge, LA.
Requirements:
- Professional Engineer (PE) License is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in relay settings and power system protection.
- experience with modelling software Aspen, Cape, & E-tap
- Hands-on experience with Schweitzer relays (SEL).
- Experience with both microprocessor-based and electromechanical relays.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement relay settings for protection systems.
- Perform analysis, testing, and troubleshooting of protective relay systems.
- Work with Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) relays.
- Handle both microprocessor-based and electromechanical relays.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with other engineers and field teams to optimize system reliability.
