The Front Desk Agent reports directly to the Front Desk Supervisor and welcomes & serves guests in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner. The Agent completes check‑in and check‑out for guests, maintains guest confidentiality, and provides outstanding service to internal and external guests.
Responsibilities- Build positive relations with guests and team members.
- Participate in departmental and company meetings.
- Ensure consistent high-quality service to all team members and guests.
- Perform friendly, professional, and timely check‑in and check‑out processes.
- Assign guest accommodations in accordance with procedures and SOPs.
- Answer phones within 3 rings following the company phone script.
- Accurately take messages for guests and initiate required actions.
- Verify proper a form of payment during guest check‑in.
- Create and update guest reservations based on hotel availability.
- Monitor room availability and report issues to the supervisor.
- Handle assigned bank transactions per internal controls and post accurately to guest folios.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel occupancy status, special events, in‑house groups, and factors affecting daily operation.
- Process guest payments and accounts at checkout efficiently and accurately.
- Articulate all amenity offerings of the hotel, including catering, rooms, packages, and F&B outlets.
- Bring any problems to the attention of the manager or supervisor on duty.
- Proactively prioritize needs and manage resources effectively.
- Report safety hazards, problems, or maintenance issues promptly.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with hotel operating systems preferred.
- Previous computer experience preferred.
- Hotel experience preferred.
