The RoleThe junior (Jr.) Casino Host directly represents Queen Casino & Entertainment on the floor and on the phone with players, establishing and maintaining relationships with patrons and promoting the gaming experience at the Queen.
Responsibilities- Regularly participate in departmental and company meetings and trainings.
- Strive to exceed guest expectations by delivering outstanding customer service.
- Greet guests on arrival and bid them farewell in a warm, manner.
- Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
- Be detail oriented and focused on the guest’s overall experience.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of company and guest information.
- Use strong telemarketing skills and be willing to make cold calls to potential and existing guests.
- Interact and speak with guests to maintain great guest relations and provide loyalty opportunities.
- Display excellent interpersonal skills when working with diverse people and levels of authority.
- Multi‑task to ensure tasks are completed accurately and timely, with minimal supervision and urgency.
- Communicate effectively with all internal and external guests while showing dignity, kindness, and respect.
- Ensure all departmental documents are accurate, legible and complete.
- Learn and implement all rules, laws, regulations, internal controls, and policies pertaining to the Player Development department.
- Apply knowledge gained from training, education, and work experience.
- Remain friendly and courteous at all times.
- Apply customer service standards as directed.
- Satisfactorily complete assignable work requested by the Shift Manager.
- High School Diploma required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- 1‑year previous work experience within casino guest services preferred.
- Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, stressful environment while remaining calm and collected.
- Must obtain and maintain a Louisiana Gaming License.
