The Casino Accounting Supervisor oversees the operation of the revenue accounting department. They actively manage daily accounting and reporting of all gaming and non-gaming revenue and manage all general accounting functions including accounts payable, payroll, and period-end close processes. Additionally, they provide outstanding guest service to internal and external guests.
Responsibilities- Ensure consistent high-quality service to all our team members and guests.
- Maintain guest service standards and ensure team members perform those standards to achieve a favorable gaming experience for guests.
- Provide hands‑on leadership to Revenue Accounting department.
- Prepare and post revenue journal entries for all revenues and comp and coupon expenses.
- Assist with reconciliation of general ledger.
- Prepare weekly gaming tax returns.
- Maintain tracking records for all revenue.
- Complete all government reporting.
- Monitor staffing levels to ensure budgetary compliance.
- Manage escalated guest service issues appropriately and discreetly.
- Have knowledge of guest alcohol limitations and company policy and procedure regarding limitations.
- Communicate pertinent information to senior staff, surveillance, or other necessary team members that is important to the operation of the casino.
- Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.
- Ensure satisfaction to guests.
- Follow lawful directions from supervisors.
- Uphold the company’s non‑disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.
- Interact well with others and be a positive influence on team member morale.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including late nights, weekends, and holidays; shifts may change.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- An Associate’s degree in a finance- or accounting-related field, at least 2 years of experience in finance or accounting, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Must possess excellent teamwork, interpersonal, guest service, written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have a professional demeanor and presence with the ability to interact with guests and team members in the Company.
- Gaming industry experience is highly preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Louisiana State Gaming Permit.
