The Role

The Sports book Manager supervises the team members within the sports book and ensures customer service standards are met. The manager performs essential functions as outlined, applying required knowledge, skills and abilities, with or without reasonable accommodations, in accordance with all Louisiana Gaming regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Participate and conduct departmental meetings.
  • Ensure betting control guidelines are adhered to within the Sports book.
  • Oversee effective and efficient schedules while meeting team member objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in the budget process and provide recommendations.
  • Demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with company and departmental standards.
  • Ensure all Sports book team members are aware of customers impacting profitability and that agreed actions are adhered to.
  • Resolve bet queries within agreed levels of authority in a timely manner.
  • Ensure customer service standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise.
  • Resolve customer disputes in line with levels of authority in a timely fashion.
  • Actively support Sports book Development Strategy.
  • Assist in the development of operational goals.
  • Deliver a compliant environment at all times in the Sports book.
  • Ensure Operations Manual procedures are in place at all times and all team members strictly adhere to security procedures.
  • Develop the skills and knowledge of the Sports book team.
  • Ensure Sports book marketing is always up to date and displayed appropriately.
  • Apply knowledge gained from training, education, and work experience.
  • Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor at all times.
  • Complete assignable work tasks requested by department leaders satisfactorily.
  • Prioritize needs and manage resources proactively.
  • Immediately report any safety hazards, problems, or maintenance issues to the appropriate party.
  • Ensure customer service standards are met and retained.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required;
    Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 2–3 years of previous work experience within a related field.
  • Previous sports wagering experience required.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Louisiana Gaming License.

Target Compensation Range

$56,900 – $58,607 annual salary
