Overview
Front Desk/Receptionist at Capital Area Human Services District, we’re dedicated to providing outstanding healthcare to individuals and families in our District. We’re seeking a friendly, detail-oriented, and proactive Front Desk/Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our patients and families. As a key member of our team, you will help ensure that all individuals and families feel welcome and supported while maintaining a smooth and efficient front-office environment.

- Communicating Effectively: The ability to relay information correctly and appropriately to connect to people and ideas.
- Following Policies and Procedures: The ability to comply with the policies and procedures of the organization as well as State Civil Service rules, and all applicable federal and state laws.
- Two years of experience in administrative services.
- Experience substitution:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.
- Greets patients or customers in a friendly and professional manner, including welcoming the patient, making eye contact, and smiling.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring accurate information and efficient scheduling.
- Completes the registration of the patient, explaining the paperwork to be completed to the patient if necessary.
- Ensures that a clear copy of the patient’s current insurance card(s) and demographic information is entered into the patient’s medical record.
- Performs appropriate, timely, and accurate documentation in the medical record as applicable to patient service duties.
- Tracking and follow-up with patient cancellations and no-shows.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
- Answer multi-line phones and respond to inquiries in a courteous and timely manner.
- Appointment Type: Probational or Job Appointment.
- Work Schedule: 9 hours per day Monday - Thursday, 4 hours on Friday.
- Location: Capital Area Human Services District's Behavioral Health Clinics.
The advertised maximum amount listed is the maximum salary a person can make while in this title/level over their career and not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay a new hire.
