Asst. Front Office Manager

Position Summary

Watermark  , located in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge, is looking for a full‑time Asst. Front Desk (Guest Services) Manager to report to the Guest Services Manager / Director of Rooms. The role involves providing courteous, efficient service to guests before arrival and throughout their stay while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2–3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required.
• College coursework in a related field helpful.
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
• Valid driver’s license from the applicable state.

• Obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations and follow rate‑quoting scenario.
• Monitor all VIP and special guest requests.
• Review Front Office log and Trace File daily.
• Fully comprehend and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
• Ensure logging and delivery of all messages, packages, and mail in a timely and professional manner.
• Be familiar with all in‑house groups.

Watermark   is part of the Marriott Autograph Collection and boasts a historic Art Deco design with Greek Revival elements. Built in 1927 as Baton Rouge’s first skyscraper, the landmark continues to be known as the Old Louisiana National Bank building. The lobby features murals by celebrated New Orleans artist Angela Gregory, carved marble walls, and a grand staircase that leads down to original bank vaults.
