GS-12 EligibilityGS-12: To be eligible at the GS-12 level, you must have at least ONE year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in Federal Service.
Specialized ExperienceSpecialized experience may include experience performing configuration, installation, or management of network systems; installing Windows-based servers and maintaining existing servers; establishing metrics to measure and evaluate systems performance; performing network diagnostics and resolving network problems; maintaining network architecture and infrastructure; installing and maintaining compatible database systems.
Additional IT-Related ExperienceIn addition to the specialized experience, applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.
