Casualty & Mass Tort Litigation Paralegal Summary
A law firm with multiple offices across Louisiana and Texas is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support Energy & Environmental matters. This role provides comprehensive support to attorneys throughout all stages of litigation and requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support attorneys from case inception through discovery, trial, and closure
- Prepare and file pleadings; assemble and manage exhibits
- Draft and respond to discovery requests
- Coordinate and prepare for depositions, hearings, and mediations
- Review and summarize depositions and medical records
- Manage case calendars, deadlines, and dockets
- Assist with document collection, review, and production
- Coordinate electronic discovery and work with litigation support tools
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical abilities
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
- Technical proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience with Relativity or similar e-discovery platforms preferred
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred
- Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program strongly preferred
- Minimum 3 years of litigation paralegal experience
- Thorough understanding of the full litigation lifecycle
