Civil Litigation Paralegal (contract) – Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Pay: $36/hr – $38/hr.

Schedule: M‑Fri 8:30 am to 5 pm.

Our client is an association of Louisiana attorneys who are employed by The Louisiana Home Builders Association General Liability Trust to defend Louisiana homebuilders. The law office is in downtown Baton Rouge. They are seeking a motivated and experienced Paralegal to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in litigation support and a passion for helping clients navigate complex legal challenges.

• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and correspondence, under the supervision of an attorney.
• Assist attorneys with case preparation for hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Organize and maintain case files and electronic records.
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings.
• Communicate with clients, experts, and witnesses.
• Track deadlines and manage court filings.

• 3–5 years of paralegal experience in litigation (construction or insurance defense preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Louisiana legal procedures and court systems.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
• Paralegal certification or degree preferred.
