Reach & Rise Group Mentoring Coordinator

The YMCA of the Capital Area seeks an experienced Cause Driven Leader to serve as the Reach & Rise Group Mentoring Coordinator. This role oversees the YMCA’s National Reach & Rise Group Mentoring Program, ensuring consistent implementation, training, and data collection across the organization.

• Oversee and implement the national program at the YMCA of the Capital Area.
• Recruit, train, and match volunteers, managing risk and ensuring program integrity.
• Coordinate a virtual three‑day training and orientation session on the model.
• Maintain compliance with all grant requirements and partnership agreements.
• Document outcomes and data per program protocols.
• Attend staff meetings, trainings, and regular meetings with volunteers and community partners.
• Provide input to reflect cultural diversity within the program.
• Develop an approved plan for professional development.
• Other duties as assigned by the VP of Operations, Reach & Rise National Directors, and supervisor.

• Experience with the target population and in implementing program models.
• Contract and budget management, organization, and systems management skills.
• Experience facilitating and managing psycho educational or counseling groups.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to deliver services through a variety of systems.

• Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling/Psychology (current enrollment considered).
