• Self-motivated RN who thrives in a fast-paced, telemetry-focused environment
• Previous experience in a telemetry or medical-surgical unit preferred
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Current Louisiana RN license required
• Completion of Basic EKG Course within 6 months of hire
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and telemetry monitoring skills
• Desire to specialize in stroke care; training provided for TJC Primary Stroke Certification

Deliver exceptional care to patients requiring continuous cardiac and medical monitoring in our dynamic Med Telemetry Unit.

• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment
• Respond promptly to changes and alarms, recognizing medical emergencies and arrhythmias
• Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate interdisciplinary care
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in line with evidence-based practices
• Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, interventions, and outcomes
• Participate in stroke-specific care protocols as part of a TJC-certified Stroke Unit
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and care teams to ensure quality outcomes
