Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of specialty experience and CPI certification.

• Active RN license (Compact or LA) required in hand upon consideration
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and CPI (NIHSS preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of ER specialty experience required
• Experience with pediatric and adult emergency care including trauma, cardiac, neurological, psychiatric, and respiratory emergencies
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of ventilated patients
• Experience with emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Proficient in triage and isolation precautions/PPE
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Up-to-date NURSYS report required for consideration

• Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric populations, including a Pediatric Emergency Department
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Epic charting system experience required
• On-call required every other weekend
• No call-ins permitted
• Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, psychiatric emergencies, infections, and pediatric illnesses
• May be assigned to an Emergency Team during facility emergency events, requiring extended presence or relief team participation
• Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods:
  Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• Orientation held 5 days a week
• 2 Manager/Supervisor references required to obtain clearance to start contract (Charge RNs not accepted)
• Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Former permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must be separated from the health system for 1 full year before returning as travelers
• All RTO must be disclosed on profile and discussed during interview to avoid offer rescission
