Groundskeeper

• Mow grass, plow snow, water lawns, feed and trim shrubs, tend flower beds, and regularly inspect assigned work areas to ensure proper standards are maintained.
• Operate lawn and grounds equipment including power mowers, snow blowers, bucket loaders, and other power equipment.
• Repair and maintain facility sidewalks and parking lots.
• Assist Lead Groundskeeper with planning, planting, and maintaining exterior and interior landscaping in accordance with the landscaping plan.
• Remove refuse and trash from grounds.
• Adjust, clean, and perform minor mechanical work on grounds equipment.
• Recommend purchase and suggest suitable locations for trees and shrubs.
• May apply pesticides to plants as directed.
• Perform duties and operate equipment in a safe manner.

• Previous groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Must perform duties with a sense of urgency.
• Must be able to work as a team with other employees.
• Ability to use and control various mechanical equipment.
• Ability to transport all supplies to and from work areas.
• Must be able to operate equipment.
• Must be able to walk, stand, and work on hand and knees for long periods of time.
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
