Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Director of QHSE to lead and strengthen our quality, safety, and environmental programs across our growing manufacturing operations. This role is critical to protecting our people and ensuring our shop operates at the highest safety standards.
What You'll Do- Lead all safety initiatives across manufacturing, warehouse, and field support functions
- Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training programs
- Ensure OSHA compliance and maintain required documentation and reporting
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Track safety metrics and present performance reports to leadership
- Coordinate required safety training and oversee workers' compensation coordination
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory inspections and compliance matters
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, safety, environmental science, manufacturing, industrial technology, or related field is preferred.
- 7+ years progressive experience in quality, safety, manufacturing or QHSE leadership
- Prior leadership experience overseeing multiple quality and /or safety functions strongly preferred.
- Strong manufacturing experience required, preferably within industrial equipment, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, fabrication, or engineered—to-order manufacturing environments.
- Working knowledge of OSHA requirements and manufacturing safety programs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of NCR management, CAPA, root-cause analysis, process improvement, and quality auditing.
- Experience in developing SOPs, work instruction, inspection processes, and operational controls.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and translate data into corrective actions.
- Ability to work effectively with executive leadership while remaining highly engaged with employees and operations on the manufacturing floor.
- Strong investigative and problem-solving skills
- OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500 preferred
