Today, the chefs of Upper Crust Food Service prepare tens of thousands of meals weekly for students across the country.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Utility professional to join our Operations department. This is an hourly, full-time position designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and takes pride in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and organization. This role is vital in ensuring that kitchen operations run smoothly and efficiently.

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen, including proper sanitation of surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
• Collect, wash, and store dishes, silverware, and cookware safely and promptly.
• Support food preparation by ensuring necessary tools and equipment are clean and available.
• Assist in unloading and organizing kitchen deliveries, ensuring items are stored properly.
• Monitor and empty trash receptacles and recycle bins regularly, adhering to waste disposal guidelines.
• Inspect kitchen equipment and report malfunctions or safety hazards.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
• Provide support for other kitchen staff as needed to maintain workflow.

• Prior experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Strong understanding of sanitation and hygiene standards.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency in English with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to maintaining a positive work environment.
