Beverage Server - Casino Bar; Queen Casino Baton Rouge

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Participate regularly in departmental and company meetings
• Smiles, provides exceptional customer service, and always treats guests and coworkers with respect.
• Prepares alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to specifications and serves them in an orderly and timely fashion.
• Ensures guest is 21 or older before serving alcoholic beverages by accurately checking guest .
• Knowledgeable in the products the company serves.
• Properly operates the point of sales system, accounts for all service items, and keeps a balanced bank.
• Understands salesmanship and customer service is what makes this position successful for the company and the team members.
• Ability to uphold great communication with guest, build rapport, and engage in friendly conversations.
• Sets and keeps workstations and casino floor areas properly stocked, clean, safe, and organized.
• Serves drinks, greets guests, buses and runs drinks, does side work, plus any other normal functions required to service our guests under normal operating conditions.
• Communicates all guest service opportunities and product shortages or issues to management.
• Knows and complies with all rules, regulations and policies of the food and beverage department.
• Follows the company's attendance policy as well as other rules and regulations set forth in the handbook.
• Able to satisfactorily complete assignable work tasks requested by the departmental leaders.
• Must abide by all state and local liquor laws.
• Immediately reports any safety hazards, problems, or maintenance issues to the appropriate party.
• Ensures customer service standards are met and retained.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 1 year Cocktail Server experience in a fast-paced environment, required.
• Food Handler Certification, required.
• High School Diploma/GED, required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have basic mathematical skills.
• Must be able to work Weekends, Nights and Holidays.
• Able to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a State Gaming License, if applicable.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Liquor certification, if applicable.
