The Retail Service Specialist supports the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This position also assumes shift management responsibilities in the absence of Assistant or Store Manager. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Essential Job Functions- Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…).
- Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
- Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders timely, contacting customers upon shipment arrivals as needed.
- Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and according to procedure, utilizing electronic outside purchase order ledger.
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly; issue refunds accurately using correct payment methods; stage returned merchandise correctly in the returns area.
- Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before product leaves store.
- Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
- Ensure team members adhere to posted work schedule; approvals for changes/devations are obtained from management; clock in/out according to company policy.
- Perform all store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, verifying and securing money/deposits, preparing bank deposits, ensuring night security lights are on, locking doors, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/locking delivery vehicles in the secure designated area.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
- Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
- Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
- ASE Certification.
- Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
