Sales Manager, Regional – Comtech Telecommunications Corp.
Pay Range: $130,000 – $150,000 per year. This is a base pay range; your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
Location: Southeast territory: IL, MO, AR, LA, KY, TN, MS, AL, GA, FL (preferred).

Rate of pay: $130,000–$150,000.
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and market expansion in the Public Safety industry. You will sell Comtech’s call handling solutions for both legacy and ESInet networks across a variety of deployment models, including traditional on‑prem, hosted 911aaS, and brokered micro‑services browser‑based cloud solutions. Your role focuses on new bookings, multi‑year state and local government contracts, and requires strategic key account management, business development, and cross‑functional team collaboration.
Responsibilities- Must be centrally located in IL, MO, AR, KY, TN, LA, MS, AL, GA, or FL.
- Create and execute key account strategies, cultivating key accounts and shaping customer criteria before purchasing cycles.
- Lead the response to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), crafting strategic narratives aligned with customer value propositions.
- Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer feedback to identify growth and innovation opportunities.
- Manage the sales pipeline, forecasting accuracy, and deal closure to consistently achieve sales targets.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability, implementing best practices and sales methodologies.
- Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date CRM information.
- Support finance with invoicing and payment activities.
- Adapt and customize solutions to fit customer use cases and business cases.
- Discover new sales opportunities by monitoring relevant standards organization activities and attending trade shows.
- Telecommunications industry technical understanding.
- Experience selling 9‑1‑1 call handling solutions with a thorough understanding of the 9‑1‑1 and public safety environment.
- Alternative experience in CAD or other related PSAP solutions.
- Experience with MEDDICC, MEDDPICC, or a similar sales methodology.
- Remote field‑sales position located in the southeastern United States with travel to customer sites as needed.
- Professional presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Multi‑year government contract creation and negotiation experience, e.g., 5‑, 7‑, and 10‑year terms.
- Minimum of 5 years selling to public safety agencies.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
