Industrial Hygiene Technician

Overview

We offer competitive pay, employee benefits, and an exceptional work environment. Most project work includes asbestos air monitoring, asbestos inspections, lead air monitoring, and lead paint chip sampling. Other project work includes mold, moisture, and other environmental consulting projects.

We are currently looking for an entry level industrial hygiene technician to join our team and support our projects in the environmental consulting industry. Responsibilities include supporting projects that involve asbestos air monitoring, asbestos inspections, lead air monitoring, lead paint chip sampling, mold and moisture assessments, and other environmental consulting tasks as needed. Ability to pass a drug screen, reliable transportation, and a high school diploma are required.

Strong interpersonal communication skills are highly desired.

Prior to employment, candidates must possess the following:

• Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• High school diploma or GED.

Candidates who possess the following have a tremendous advantage:

• Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
• GSHO card (OSHA card)
• Exxon Mobil Baton Rouge Site Specific orientation

Candidates must be: self-starting team players, able to get along with others, drug free, reliable, disciplined, and eager to learn. Candidates must possess good handwritten & communication skills. Candidates must be willing to work some nights and weekends, and be flexible with changing work schedule.

Computer/tablet skills are a plus.
