The Helper - Plumbing is responsible for assisting full‑fledged plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in both commercial and industrial buildings. This role offers a great opportunity to learn the trade from seasoned plumbers while working toward your plumbing license and advancing your skills.
Responsibilities- Installation of piping for water, gas, sewerage and drainage systems and related purposes.
- Assembly, positioning, and connection of equipment and appliances used in plumbing systems.
- Welding and other methods of joining pipe.
- Maintenance and repair of equipment.
- Operation, care and use of all tools related to the trade.
- Daily cleanup.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work in diverse conditions including, but not limited to, mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, extreme weather conditions, precarious places, and risk of electrical shock (high voltage).
- Highly physical work requiring regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and occasionally more than 50 pounds.
