Role :
Senior .NET developer
Location:
Baton Rouge, LA (Hybrid) – Local candidates preferred
Duration:
Long term
- Development, administration & configuration of a custom-built .NET development project
- Provide technical knowledge transfer, training, documentation, mentorship, and guidance to State personnel for all requested work
- Provide oversight and guidance of the customer‑agency’s replacement software and make performance improvements
- Perform code reviews and testing on new code
- Participate in all necessary team meetings and design sessions in accordance with Scrum ceremonies
- Cooperate with Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice (OJJ) Technical Architect to ensure compliance with OTS standards of State applications
Mandatory:
- Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in C#
- Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in ASP.NET Core
- Five (5) plus years of expertise and/or relevant experience in MSSQL
- Five (5) plus years enterprise‑level software development
Desirable but not mandatory:
- Prior experience or familiarity with Oracle APEX, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
- Has led a team of developers under Microsoft development stack
- Has previous experience working on accounting based projects
- Familiarity with frameworks such as Vue, React, NodeJS, Angular, Typescript
- Experience designing and developing distributed systems (Microservices/SOA)
- Experience developing reports with SSRS or similar tools
- Experience setting up, maintaining and using Dev Ops practices, including CI/CD pipelines and automating tasks
- Experience with the Git Version Control System, including branching strategies for complex systems
