Duties
Help

Serves as a Property Disposal Specialist responsible for the management of the DLA Disposition Services Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program.
Prepares Letters of Offer and Acceptance (LOAs) under Defined Order and Blanket Order procedures.
Monitors, maintains, and enhances relationships with military and non-=military customers.
Receives, validates and inputs customer orders and modification requests.
Communicates effectively in writing to FMS Program participants.
Initiates amendments and modifications to LOAs obtaining clearances and approvals.
Develops responses to inquiries from Defense Attache Offices (DAOs) Offices of Defense Cooperation (ODCs) and Joint U.S. Military Advisory Groups (JUSMAG) regarding FMS procedures, eligibility and availability of property.
Compiles statistical reports on historical and current FMS cases performing in-depth research of case histories and other reference databases.

Multiple Location/Shift: This position and any future selections from this announcement may be used to fill various shifts located within DLA Disposition Services/ Battle Creek MI.
The incumbent must be capable of securing and maintaining a valid official U.S. passport and complying with all DoD and Department of State travel clearance requirements.

Qualifications
The incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Defense Security Cooperation Agency requirements of this certification program. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain DoD SCW certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action. Incumbent is required to maintain 20 hours of Security Cooperation professional development continuous learning every two-year period to maintain good standing in the DoD Security Cooperation Workforce Certification Program.

Experience:

One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector.
