Centennial Aircraft Service is a Part 145 Repair Station and does everything from restoring vintage aircraft to providing new avionics and engines to current aircraft. Junkers Aircraft is our newest company that encompasses our lightest and sleekest model LSA airplane made from corrugated aluminum, known as the A50, complete with a ballistic parachute.
WhatYou Will Do
- Lead, train, and mentor the materials handling, inventory, and logistics staff
- Maintain working knowledge of inventory programs, purchase order programs, industry specific ERP systems
- Establish guidelines on how often the company reviews pricing, quote comparisons, and reviews bids on what to accept and which vendors to consider
- Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and Procurement teams to forecast material needs and align logistics with the master production schedule
- Oversee buying goods and services for the Company
- Review and negotiate contracts
- Evaluate quality, price, reliability, technical support and availability of goods and services.
- Oversee the kitting, packaging, and distribution of parts
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors
- Develop strategic plan to achieve supply chain objectives
- Responsible for the development and monitoring of departmental quality objectives and KPIs. Develops counter measures and action plans to assure objectives remain on target
- Follows and updates all work instructions/logs, pertaining to current processes
- Oversight of inventory management and cycle counting. Ensures that adequate inventory levels are maintained and accurately tracked
- Conduct market analysis, internal demand analysis, supplier selection, and negotiation of price, terms and conditions to maximize contribution to operating profit and business objectives
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships and drive supplier performance and effectiveness.
- Manage supplier performance through supplier scorecards.
- Manage domestic and international logistics
- Utilize value stream mapping and other ABS (lean) tools to streamline processes and minimize inventory
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in materials management processes, systems, and facility layout
- Promote continuous improvement efforts for designated business unit(s) for the materials function
- Assist in product life cycle analysis process for the Mobile Power Value Stream
- Evaluates and suggests Make/Buy decisions
- All other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred
- 4+ years of progressive experience in materials management, logistics, and inventory control, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Experience with in the aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing industry is strongly preferred
- Proven experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Strong knowledge of inventory management methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, JIT)
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and strict traceability requirements
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Self‑motivated with an ability to independently problem solve
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent time‑management skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to industry specific software
- Ability to process information from multiple related companies
