The Role
We are seeking an experienced Admissions Department Leader to oversee all admissions and intake operations. This individual will drive admissions strategy, optimize processes, lead a high-performing team, and support growth initiatives while ensuring exceptional service to patients, families, and referral partners.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and develop the Admissions & Intake team
- Drive admissions growth and referral development strategies
- Monitor department performance, quality, and compliance
- Collaborate with hospital leadership to support operational goals
- Enhance patient access and the overall admission experience
- Lead and develop the Admissions & Intake team
- Oversee crisis assessments, intake, and admissions operations
- Drive referral growth and support business development initiatives
- Ensure quality, compliance, and regulatory standards are met
- Build strong relationships with referral sources and community partners
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise staff
- Manage department performance, goals, and budgets
- Improve processes, patient access, and overall service delivery
- Develop and implement departmental policies and best practices
- Additional Duties:
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Master's Degree in Human Services Field or RN nursing license required.
- Three plus years' experience in healthcare-related admissions preferred.
- Three years of work experience as a Director of Admissions in a Behavioral health facility preferred.
- May require licensure by the state for this position.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility.
