Team Leader (P4 - HC3, 2nd shift)

Provide leadership to the team, communicate results and issues to adjacent shifts, complete manpower plans, conduct daily quality and productivity start‑up meetings, train associates and temporaries, audit training, identify future training needs, ensure TS16949 adherence, control and monitor production activities and schedules, accurately complete daily/monthly production reports, work effectively with support departments and teams, perform root cause analysis, use past practice and associate input to identify problems, evaluate, adjust, improve, forecast and prepare countermeasures to meet targets in safety, morale and delivery, interpret blueprints and technical manuals, and be familiar with DMMI policies as they relate to associate concerns and issues.
Qualifications- High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and previous leadership experience or current lateral position or higher.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficient in basic math skills, previous experience with heater cores and stamping operations, effective verbal and written communication skills, ability to train and mentor new/existing associates, solid understanding of TPS and lean manufacturing techniques, production auditing, production data analysis, prioritization and flexibility, coaching and counseling, conflict resolution, knowledge of TS16949 systems and procedures, root cause analysis, process improvement, basic computer skills, ability to work overtime, bilingual competency highly preferred.

Intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift or carry component parts weighing up to 35 pounds, use hands, reach arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, talk, hear, use vision, work on production floor, frequent phone use and typing.
