Set-Up Technician (DMNC - Injection Washer, 2nd shift) at DENSO

Hours:
3:00 PM - 11:00 PM | Salary: $49,960.00-$64,952.00 per year. The Set-Up Technician is responsible for setting up blow molding and injection molding machines or servo auto lines and accessory equipment, including mold changes, machine adjustments, troubleshooting, machine repairs and performing TPM. Checks equipment productivity and quality of products.
- Sets up, changes molds, monitors, and makes adjustments to machines and accessory equipment.
- Ensures that all materials meet quality requirements.
- Monitors machine functions to ensure proper operation. Makes adjustments and involves the Maintenance Department when necessary.
- Uses SPC charts and related documentation to monitor processes.
- Ensures compliance with all IATF-16949 requirements.
- Troubleshoots process problems.
- Assists with the testing of new products and sets new process parameters.
- Performs TPM and machine repairs, as necessary.
- Uses maintenance equipment to fabricate and make improvements.
- Continuously looks for opportunities for process improvements/kaizens.
- Performs changeovers and ensures the machine is set to the set-up manual.
- Supports the department as necessary and works to improve 5S conditions.
- May be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Follows all procedures and work instructions and makes recommendations to improve the process.
- Notifies Leader immediately upon detecting any non-conformances.
- Records all non-conformances to ensure corrective action and preventative measures are taken and assist in the problem solving process.
- Communicates and practices DENSO’s Quality and Environmental Management Systems. Takes an active role in achieving and maintaining IATF-16949 and ISO-14001.
- High School diploma or equivalent and a good mechanical aptitude as demonstrated by the completion of vocational training.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively with others.
- Knowledgeable on SPC and production processes.
- Successful completion of technical training, including Lock-Out Tag-Out.
- Machine troubleshooting skills.
- Forklift experience may be required.
Plant environment, working with automated machinery. Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes are required. Position requires standing, walking and may be required to move, lift or carry objects weighing up to 35 lbs.
