MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Complete Sub Leader Selection Process pre-qualification requirements(All 3 REQUIRED PRIOR TO POSTING)

  • Must be an Associate III or above
  • Submit two (2) recommendation forms from Team Leader and above (See HRBP/Recruiting for form)
  • Complete Sub Leader Learning Path Training in Oracle

High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Must have previous manufacturing experience, knowledge of TS16949, an understanding of the Kaizen System, self-motivation, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously, good time management, and ability to work with several outside support groups to maintain line capability. Must be willing to work overtime to ensure job completion, have good verbal and written communication skills as well as good documentation and time management skills.

Must be a strong leader and lead by example, be able to delegate and train associates and temporaries, motivate others and pay close attention to detail. Must have a positive attitude, be goal oriented, open to new ideas and above average troubleshooting skills. Prefer someone who has computer skills (particularly in Microsoft Office), machine experience and is highly motivated.

Bi-lingual competency highly preferred in languages that reflect the Battle Creek community.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

Direct and indirect managing of associates, maintain a high quality standard for the area, balancing of assembly processes, estimation of production scheduling, meeting goals and objectives through continuous improvement activities, auditing and analyzing data to improve process, and auditing key quality operations. Coordination of product flow, audit of processes for proper procedures and TS16949 compliance, kaizen activities, daily and monthly 5S, training and daily rotation of associates and temporaries, daily paperwork and scrap investigations and countermeasures.

Troubleshoot machinery, maintain good safety habits and working conditions within the area, and communicate with team members and the Team Leader. Must be able to work overtime as necessary.

MINIMUM POSTING ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • More than 2 years in current position unless promo table
  • Last Performance Appraisal Meets or Better
  • No Active Written Discipline
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position
