PRN Shifts Available:
- Night Shift: 7:00pm-7:30am
- Day Shift: 7:00am-7:30pm
Bronson Behavioral Health Hospital is a 96-bed inpatient behavioral health hospital located in Battle Creek, MI. We provide comprehensive inpatient behavioral healthcare services for adult patients, including treatment for acute symptoms of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and more.

Registered Nurse Essential Functions- Provide and coordinate care by assessing patients’ physical and behavioral health needs.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Maintain medical records and educate patients and families about conditions.
- Provide nursing care within the scope of nursing practice and state Nurse Practice Act regulations.
- Ensure physicians’ orders are legible and transcribed appropriately.
- Assess patient status continuously and document pertinent information.
- Notify physicians of significant changes in status (e.g., detox difficulties, medical emergencies).
- Complete initial nursing treatment plans upon admission.
- Demonstrate knowledge and utilization of universal precautions.
- Accurately administer medications per ordered note.
- Document accurate counts of controlled substance administration.
- Complete admission and discharge processing efficiently.
- Exhibit therapeutic rapport with patients, maintaining professional boundaries.
- Provide direction or coordinate unit activities as directed.
- Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, co-workers, and others involved in inpatient treatment.
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment (or eligible to practice).
- One year of nursing experience; psychiatric or substance abuse experience preferred.
- CPR, de-escalation, and restraint certification required (training provided upon hire).
- First aid may be required per state or facility requirements.
