Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with travel experience and a Michigan RN license for a night shift position with weekend and floating requirements.

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg unit with a focus on rapid admission and discharge
• May be assigned to a 10-bed ER Overflow/Observation Unit
• Patient ratios typically range from 1:4-5, or up to 1:7 with an RN/LPN team
• Scheduled for night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Will float to other Med/Surg units as needed, typically once per week
• Required to work every other weekend
• Provide continual assessment for patient discharge readiness in a fast-paced environment
• Block scheduling is not guaranteed or approved at this time
• Care for a diverse patient population with a wide range of medical conditions
• Staff includes a mix of RNs, LPNs, and Techs on Med/Surg units

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Willingness to work with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and Techs
• ER experience will be considered
