Private Duty Nurse (RN/LPN) – 1:1 Adult Home Care

Location: Battle Creek, MI

Setting: In-home, 1:1 care

Job Summary

Centria Healthcare is hiring compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide 1:1 private duty nursing in patients’ homes. You’ll deliver skilled, personalized care to pediatric and adult patients in a low‑stress, relationship‑based setting.

Client‑Specific Case Details

This opportunity supports an adult client with a history of a motor vehicle accident (2020) resulting in a C1 ASIA-C spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury. The client has undergone C1–C2 stabilization and requires specialized, hands‑on care.

Care Needs Include

• Neurogenic bladder management, including intermittent straight catheterization
• Monitoring for and managing frequent urinary tract infections (UTIs)
• Mobility assistance — client is able to ambulate short distances (up to 40 steps) with a walker
• Support with activities of daily living (ADLs) and ongoing safety supervision

Schedule Needs

Day shifts available: 12 hours per shift, 7 days per week of consistent attendant care.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care (trach/vent care, medication administration, catheter care)
• Monitor and document patient condition and vital signs
• Assist with daily living activities (ADLs)
• Communicate with families and care teams
• Maintain safe, high‑quality, patient‑centered care

Schedule & Pay

• Full‑time, part‑time, and per diem shifts available
• Day, night, and weekend shifts
• Weekly pay + optional daily pay

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in the state of Michigan
• Home care or private duty experience preferred (not required)
• Trach/vent experience a plus (training provided)
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
