Bronson Battle Creek Hospital Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care Unit Full–Time Day Shift
Bronson Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Unit (CCU) at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. The 20‑bed unit specializes in life‑threatening conditions such as cardiogenic shock, heart failure, liver/renal failure, respiratory failure, neurological conditions, and sepsis. A multidisciplinary team and state‑of‑the‑art equipment ensure continuous high‑quality care.
Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, diagnosing, implementation, evaluation) to manage patient care throughout the stay.
- Coordinate care, delegate tasks within scope, and provide physical care as appropriate for patient acuity.
- Document and communicate patient responses, resource utilization, and anticipated needs during each tour of duty.
- Maintain competency specific to the critical care population.
- Adhere to organizational policies, Michigan Public Health Code, and professional nursing standards.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and implement evidence‑based practice.
- Associate’s degree in Nursing required (Bachelor’s preferred, must be obtained within 8 years of hire).
- Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing in the State of Michigan.
- BLS certification required by completion of core orientation.
- Critical care or ALS certification may be required for unit‑specific roles.
- Current driver’s license and proof of insurance required for BAH.
