American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring a Michigan RN license and at least 1 year of Med/Surg experience.

• Work on a 37-bed Medical, Surgical, and Oncology unit caring for a wide variety of patient types
• Care for general medical diagnosis patients as well as gastrointestinal, urological, and gynecological surgical patients
• Unit also sees ortho/neurovascular and cardio/pulmonary patients
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 19:00-7:30
• 36 or 48 hour work weeks available
• Staffing ratio of 1:5-6 at night, flexing up to 8 patients with LPN support
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating to other Med/Surg units required, typically about once per week
• Works alongside a variety of staff including RNs, LPNs, and Techs

• Active Michigan RN license required (pending license accepted with ETA)
• BLS certification (AHA) required, pending accepted with confirmation of willingness to obtain
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required, 2 years preferred
• Supervisor-level references required

• Must be available for the first two weeks of the assignment
• Holiday coverage required with no guaranteed holiday time off
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days
• Travelers are prioritized for floating assignments
• Proof of flu vaccination required with consideration, exemption requests must be submitted within 48 hours of signing
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction
• Previous travelers may return after 6 months, previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
