Salary: $97,300.00–$

• Responsible for the safety and security of BHG properties, grounds, patients, visitors, and staff.
• Uphold Bronson's policies and procedures through the Standards for Excellence and provide exceptional customer service.
• Greets patients and visitors and assists them to their destinations.
• Complete reports and documentation.
• Conduct regular patrols of hospital buildings and grounds following established schedules.
• Respond to calls for aid from various hospital areas, especially the Emergency Department, and assist with calming or restraining disturbed patients.
• Assist with parking control, escorting employees and visitors, and providing general assistance (lockout, jump start).
• Serve as charge during assigned shifts, coordinating routine operations and directing other personnel.
• Investigate and prepare reports for accidents, thefts, lost property, and security violations.
• Perform site‑specific duties as needed.

• High school diploma or GED; security and/or healthcare security experience preferred.
• Valid Michigan driver's license and eligibility for Bronson insurance.
• Professional conduct that promotes positive hospital and community relations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Certifications:
  
  CPI, Violent Patient Management, and compliance with annual continuing education and system CBLs.
• Ability to operate a computer, tablet/mobile device, and security surveillance system.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and occasional heavier tasks.
• Composure under high‑stress situations, with ability to defuse and de‑escalate conflicts.
• Ability to take control during emergencies and enforce No‑Trespass orders.
