Senior Transportation Driver.

• Transports volunteers to designated destinations as allowed by program regulations.
• Ensures safety and well‑being of individuals being transported, including assisting volunteers as they get in and out of the vehicle.
• Conducts pre‑trip inspection, maintains fluid levels, and reports any malfunction to the Transportation Manager.
• Maintains and monitors records of attendance and appointments; reports schedule changes to the Senior Volunteer Program Manager.
• Compiles and maintains necessary paperwork such as mileage logs and submits reports to the Transportation Manager on a time basis as needed.
• Performs daily custodial duties to maintain a clean vehicle interior for passengers and periodically washes exterior of vehicle (as directed by supervisor).
• Completes all accident and incident reports as required and submits to Senior Volunteer Program Manager and Transportation Manager on a timely basis.
• May be required to work weekends and evenings based on program needs.
• Required to maintain accurate logs of drive time and downtime.
• Attends meetings as required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Senior Volunteer Program Policy Manual and Agency policies and procedures.
• Complies with Agency's values, mission, and culture statements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and talk or hear.
• Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to stand, bend, and twist at waist and kneel and walk.
• Must be able to kneel and bend within the vehicle to reach to hook the securement devices.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must have the ability to travel in motor vehicles and/or other forms of transportation for hours at a time and possess physical mobility to maneuver within the vehicle and around (in and out of) motor vehicles at every stop.

Education: General high school education or its equivalent.

Experience: Between one and three years of progressively more responsible or expansive experience is required.
