Job Purpose and Summary

The Parts Purchaser orders parts as requested by Technicians in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities

Order heavy equipment parts as needed

Order all Tapani Trucking and vehicle parts as needed

Create and attach PO’s to invoices

Check all received parts and compare to order slip

Assist field techs with parts orders

Return unused parts as soon as possible

Deliver parts when necessary

Job Requirements and Qualifications

High school education or equivalent

1 to 2 years mechanical experience is preferred

Parts ordering experience

Heavy equipment knowledge

Basic understanding of John Deere and CAT parts

Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy loads

Ability to work well in a team environment and independently

Maintain a positive, customer service attitude, and be willing to help

Mainly office work

Hours are typically 40 hours per week and range between 7am to 5pm Monday - Friday, with rare exceptions for evenings and weekends

Compensation and Benefits

Pay: $21.48 - $37.58 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
