Remarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world. Wood is recruiting for an Omani Senior Piping to join our team in Oman, focusing on delivering across FEED and Detail design scopes of work.
RESPONSIBILITIESTranslate the limited information from the Concept Selection Report and/or Basis for Design (Select Phase) into Basis for Design and/or Front End Design and project specifications.
Carry out the Piping Design FEED activities (Define stage) for a specific project in order to generate the Piping Design FEED deliverables on time to the required quality standard according to DCAF requirements.

- Contribute to Basis for Design (BfD).
- Develop Equipment Layout / Plot Plan based on PFS/UFS, Technical safety requirements.
- Develop Piping Layout based on PEFS / UEFS in 2D / 3D environment.
- Follow Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in line with ISO and API Q2 2nd edition requirements.
- Inter‑discipline co‑ordination including exchange of input.
- Assist in progress monitoring.
- Initiate and Check Design Activities & Deliverables.
- Have good relationship with other team members.
- Be able to work in a team environment where recognition of team performance as a whole is a greater priority than projecting individual contribution.
- Visit site for data gathering; identification of tie‑ins; etc.
- Maintain standard drawing templates.
- Prove repeatability/constant improvement across a broad range of technical & cultural differences.
- Develop/share best practices, work processes, etc. based on gained experience in projects.
- Establish/adopt new technologies and processes.
- Apply/maintain engineering processes, systems and tools (software).

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 12 years experience in Oil & Gas Piping Design with 3 years experience in ACAD / 3D PDMS Design system.
- Minimum 5 years in Front End Engineering Design (FEED)/ Engineering Experience.
- Good communicator and strong team player.
- Fluent in English;
Written and Spoken.
