Join to apply for the Machine Operator Assistant role at Pactiv Evergreen Inc.
Position located in Baxter Springs, KS. Available shift: 2nd. Starting pay: $17.00/hour.
Responsibilities- Assist and function as back‑up to Machine Operator to produce quality product at target machine speeds using safe work practices.
- Read & understand Production Order Packet (POP); prepare all machine components for production.
- Read, understand, and correctly complete daily paperwork.
- Follow designated procedures to requisition or return components & materials, inspect components & materials, install components & materials, complete pre & post production activities.
- Assist with set‑up and/or change‑over activities within allotted time.
- Participate in Preventative Maintenance Activities as assigned.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Complete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & procedures.
- Actively engage in safety programs.
- Effectively communicate with team members across shifts.
- Assist and train other team members as needed.
- Minimum of six months of experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably with a high‑speed process.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Successful completion of pre‑employment background and drug screen.
- Complies with training courses as determined by management.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
- Commitment to an accident‑free and drug‑free workplace.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
