Audio Video Extremes (A/VX)’s Sales Project Manager will be responsible for selling commercial and residential audio, video and security systems including overseeing the entire customer lifecycle, from generating leads to providing post-project customer service. The Sales Project Manager will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesProject Planning:
Develop project plans that identify key deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
Scope Definition:
Clearly define the project scope, goals, and deliverables. This includes reviewing the scope with the Install Manager/Technicians to ensure alignment before starting projects since the Project Manager is responsible for overall customer satisfaction.
Team Leadership:
Lead and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Resource Management:
Work with the Install Manager / Scheduling Coordinator to allocate resources efficiently to limit the amount of install hours required for projects.
Risk Management:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations. This involves offering detailed guidance and support to Technicians, Install Manager, builders and/or contractors throughout the project.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards while complying with safety standards and regulations.
Progress Monitoring:
Track project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines and objectives.
Budget Management:
Monitor and control project to ensure financial objectives are met. This includes creating detailed estimates / sales orders with cost and profit estimates, and invoicing customers for project and non-warranty work on a daily/weekly basis.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation and records in A/VX’s systems including accurate inventory records for each customer.
Professional Development:
Stay current with the latest technological advancements.
All other duties as assigned.
Job RequirementsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Knowledge of several types of commercial and residential audio, video and security systems
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
Proficiency in working collaboratively within a team, maintaining professionalism and respect
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while ensuring attention to detail
Problem-solving and decision-making skills
Familiarity with various project management methodologies or techniques
Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations
Qualifications- Required
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent - Experience:
4+ years of prior experience in audio, video, security systems, or related fields. Expertise in automation, programming, and the construction/build-out process within this industry is crucial for this role. The work experience requirement may not apply to internal promotions. - Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50-75 pounds regularly, move safely over uneven terrain, and climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds. The role requires standing, walking, bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching for extended periods.
