Gastroenterologist Perm Placement Bay City, MI

McLaren Bay Region is seeking two highly qualified Gastroenterologists to establish and expand a comprehensive GI practice in Bay City, Michigan. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic, community-focused healthcare environment with a focus on ambulatory and inpatient endoscopy services.

Position Highlights:

• Focus and Responsibilities:
  • Provide ambulatory endoscopy procedures, including advanced techniques such as ERCP and EUS.
  • Perform inpatient procedures with a strong emphasis on ERCP and EUS specialization.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care in a hospital setting and outpatient clinic.
  • Participate in call coverage on a shared basis, approximately one-third of the time, including support from hospitalists.
  • Involvement in outpatient GI clinic located less than half a mile from the hospital, facilitating seamless patient care.
• Qualifications:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
  • DEA license required.
  • Demonstrated expertise or interest in ERCP and EUS procedures is mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an unrestricted medical license in Michigan.
• Additional Details:
  • Join a facility equipped with a newly built ambulatory endoscopy surgery center.
  • Shared hospital coverage with great support from experienced staff.
  • Use of Cerner EMR system for clinical documentation.
  • Collaboration with two colorectal surgeons serving the regional community.
