Job Duties
- Accepts referrals for ultrasound, documents exams, and provides billing codes. 25%
- Obtains patient history, instructs patient on ultrasound procedure and performs appropriate exam(s). 25%
- Records representative video documentation and hard copy images of the examination; prepares written reports of gyn exam and generates computer BABE reports for OB exams; interacts with provider when appropriate. 25%
- Maintains equipment, records of service/repairs and preventative maintenance. Monitors equipment operation. 10%
- Monitors quality assurance of ultrasound equipment (cleanliness, safe working conditions, cables, transducers) and maintains & orders supplies. 10%
- Assists in other areas when not performing ultrasound exams: triage phone calls, return calls to patients, assist provider, perform non‑stress test, review labs/reports, general nursing duties, file. 5%

Job Specifications- Education:
Graduate of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program - Licensure:
Certification as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Experience:
1‑5 years experience in performing OB‑GYN ultrasounds - Skills:
Flexible, skilled in performing multiple tasks independently as well as part of a team. Excellent time management and organizational skills. - Interpersonal
Skills:
Ability to communicate with diverse patient population, interact positively with other health care providers. Team player. - Work Hours:
Full time, flexible and varied. - Physical Effort:
Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for an entire workday. Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, and/or twist while holding up to 25 lbs. frequently. - Travel:
Limited travel out of area to maintain continuing education requirements through attending recognized seminars/conferences for licensure/certification. Reimbursement will be in accordance with GLBHC policy.
