Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of OR experience and active MI licensure.

• Active MI RN license required at time of consideration (no compact license accepted)
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Skills checklist completed within the past year required

• Work in a hospital Operating Room with 13 OR rooms
• Hybrid OR equipped for complex vascular and less-invasive cardiac procedures
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts ), 3 days per week
• No weekend requirements
• On-call required Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
• Hospital-provided scrubs
• Provide direct and indirect nursing care across the nursing process, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the patient age continuum served by the unit
• Facility is a regional leader in open heart surgery
• Must reside within a 35-mile radius of the facility to qualify for the full travel rate
• Full-time employees of the health system are not eligible for contract hire within six months of their employment end date
• No more than 5 days of requested time off allowed during the assignment
