Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience

Description:

Coordinates total nursing care for patients. Participates in patient and family teaching. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Recognizes that each patient is a unique individual and has the right to quality nursing care. Ensures mutual goal setting between the Registered Nurse and the patient.

Assures patient rights and privacy are protected. Is accountable to the ethical and professional standards as defined in the ANA Code for Nurses. Adheres to the ANA Nursing Social Policy Statement and the State Public Health Code. Follows the standards set by regulatory agencies such as the American Osteopathic Association and Conditions of Participation. Requires competence in nursing practice, recognition, and responsible acceptance of individual actions and judgments.
