Shift: Night Shift – 3 shifts per week
Hours: 36 hours per week
Ochsner Health is seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. The nurse will provide critical care to patients, implement individualized nursing care plans, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
- Provide patient and family education based on individual learning needs.
- Coordinate and delegate nursing responsibilities appropriately.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
- Maintain patient privacy and adapt communication to individual patient needs.
- Use clinical information and data to promote quality outcomes.
- Support patient safety, satisfaction, and professional nursing standards.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience.
- Previous ICU experience.
- Experience with EPIC documentation.
- Current RN license valid in the state of practice.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification: 12-month blue card from the Crisis Prevention Institute.
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and specialty certification are preferred.
Important Submission Requirements- RN license verification and BLS certification are required at submission.
- ACLS certification is required.
- CPI certification must be uploaded at submission, or a placeholder must be included indicating the clinician will obtain it at Ochsner.
This role involves heavy physical work and routine exposure to blood, body fluids, and other healthcare-related occupational risks.
