About the RoleWe are seeking an NVQ level 3 qualified Electrician with experience leading teams to join our team at HMP Hollesley Bay, a category D Adult/Male prison.
As an Electrical Supervisor you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues from various trades, and you will play a key part in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all.
Responsibilities- Lead and supervise a team of electricians and support staff.
- Planning, execution and maintenance of electrical installation work.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety, BS7671 and HMPPS regulations.
- Co‑ordination with other facility trades and administrative staff.
- Health & Safety, incident reporting and continuous improvement.
- Five years’ experience as an electrician or equivalent.
- Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical and building services.
- Experience supervising staff.
- Full driving licence, preferably with D1.
- C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
- Certificate in BS7671 – The Requirements For Electrical Installations.
- Good Health & Safety knowledge.
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
