Contract

Permanent, full time – 39 hours per week, Monday to Sunday

About the Role

We are seeking an NVQ level 3 qualified Electrician with experience leading teams to join our team at HMP Hollesley Bay, a category D Adult/Male prison.

As an Electrical Supervisor you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues from various trades, and you will play a key part in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of electricians and support staff.
  • Planning, execution and maintenance of electrical installation work.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety, BS7671 and HMPPS regulations.
  • Co‑ordination with other facility trades and administrative staff.
  • Health & Safety, incident reporting and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Five years’ experience as an electrician or equivalent.
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical and building services.
  • Experience supervising staff.
  • Full driving licence, preferably with D1.
  • C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
  • Certificate in BS7671 – The Requirements For Electrical Installations.
  • Good Health & Safety knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
